'Body to Body', a 4-track EP by Moodtrap
Following the success of 'Influence' on this year's Tsuba Samurai release, London duo Moodtrap deliver a stunning debut 4 track EP of underground house. Taking influences from their vast record collections, the resulting tracks have an edge and character to them seldom found in many new producers.
'Body to Body' and 'Let You Go' which bookend the EP have a distinct 90's house flavour reminiscent of Kerri Chandler and Ralph Falcon. 'Movement' is classic deep house and 'Route 66' has a raw vibe underpinned by a classic sample, edgy stabs and tension inducing strings.
Moodtrap is a new alias from a well known production duo who for now wish to remain anonymous to allow the music to do the talking. The artwork features a shot from the legendary Sound Factory in New York.
