"Fragmented"

Gustavo Sacchetti, aka Aural Distortion, is a little known producer from Cancun in South America whose one previous release was on Spain's now defunct Luxury Grooves imprint. Hurricane Wilma almost scuppered this release for Tsuba having wiped out Gustavo's house last November. Thankfully he survived in one piece along with his iMac! "Fragmented" is a trippy slice of electro house based around a dancefloor shaking bass heavy groove and some very hypnotic swirling synths. Its simple but it really does the job.
On remix action is the wonderful Anja Schneider from Berlin's Mobilee records. If 2005 belonged to Poker Flat for all things minimal then 2006 should hopefully see Mobilee rise to the top. The mix is a minimal throbber with a groovy as fuck bassline, squelchy squelchy lead and intricate patterns that build towards some lurvely synthy pads.
