'Mopti' by Eric Bongo - including a remix from Pier Bucci
Eric Borgo is no stranger to Tsuba having released one of the biggest tracks on the label, 'Another Man' alongside fellow frenchman Oxia. 'Mopti' is clearly influenced by the sound of Basic Channel and is an excersion into deep dub house with a classic feel. Oxia was executive producer on this project.
For the remix Pier Bucci teams up with Matthew Styles for a deep latin tinged mix complete with soaring strings and club heavy groove. Bonus track '1900' with Yannick Baudino is a more energetic affair with crisp percusion and throbbing bassline.
